What do your favorite photos look like?

Mine are the ones that make me smile without thinking about it. The images that show a moment, a person, a pet, a loved place, in a way that reminds me why I love it.

One that I can sit and open on a bad day, or a good day, or with people that I love and be taken back to a moment that otherwise might have been lost.

What do you want to remember?

Forced smiles? Or all the tiny little moments that make up one normal day. The little details of your home. Their smiles when nana and papa come over. The best spot on the couch. The hugs. The fighting. The tears. And laughter.

What do I wish I had more photos of?

I had always loved art, but I got started in photography specifically to document. First my own family, and then others. This is what A Moment in Time sessions are all about.

I just turned 40, and maybe that was part of me taking a second look at why I loved photography so much. I also asked myself what I wished I had more photos of. I thought of big days and small. Days that are just a blur now and I wish I could look back and see more clearly. The first few days after coming home from the hospital with one of the babies. The final days with loved ones. The last day with my dog. Birthday parties... but not just the party, the set up, the prep, the aftermath where just our family sits in the mess and exhaustion of the day with each other. The last day in our old house - when our youngest was too young to remember now what it looked like. The first week in our new house...

These photojournalistic sessions are to cover these moments and many more.
